Liaocheng City Second People's Hospital Hyperbaric Oxygen Division was founded in 1998, is the city to build cabin and carry out hyperbaric oxygen diagnosis and treatment of the earliest medical units.2016 Huamei hospital area three cabin seven door thirty-two seat, inline oxygen cabin group opened.2020 the second hospital headquarters update hyperbaric oxygen cabin. In 2020, the main hospital will update its hyperbaric oxygen chamber, which is a four-door, ten-seat chamber. The two hospitals have advanced, comfortable and safe facilities in the oxygen chamber. Each chamber is equipped with ventilator interface, infusion racks, zero-differential pressure negative pressure suction, and the projection screen in the chamber can display the monitoring data, which is convenient for resuscitation. The chambers are operated by 3 kinds of control methods: manual, electric and computer. Each seat is equipped with a multifunctional box that integrates routine oxygen supply, emergency oxygen supply and nebulised inhalation. It is also equipped with monitoring system and water sprinkler fire extinguishing system. The multifunctional extra-cabin projector can integrate TV, internet and DVD, so that patients can choose to watch their favourite programmes in the course of treatment and complete their treatment easily and happily. Huamei Hospital also has a normobaric oxygen treatment room, which can be used for the sequential treatment of patients who are temporarily unable to enter the chamber.

    The Hyperbaric Oxygen Department has 6 full-time staff members, including 1 attending physician, 1 resident physician, 1 chief nurse, 2 supervising nurses, 1 nurse practitioner, and 2 part-time technicians. The doctors and nurses have been trained by Shandong Quality Control Centre and hold induction certificates, and the technicians have obtained the qualification certificates issued by the accredited institutions of the State Quality Supervision Bureau, and the certificates are all within the validity period. Shao Jingyi, the director of the department, is the vice chairman of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of Shandong Provincial Medical Association and the chairman of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of Liaocheng City Medical Association.

    The hyperbaric oxygen department has treated carbon monoxide poisoning, delayed encephalopathy, sudden deafness, traumatic brain injury, cerebral infarction, postoperative cerebral haemorrhage, harmful gas poisoning, drug poisoning, ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy, vegetative state, spinal cord injury, bone fracture and delayed healing, delayed healing of incision, skin flap transplantation, postoperative benign intracranial tumour, diabetic foot, viral encephalitis, fatigue syndrome, menopausal syndrome and so on, and the effect is remarkable.
