Radiotherapy Department of Oncology was established in 1991, and has always adhered to the philosophy of ‘patient first, quality first, first-class service’, introduced Xinhua Cobalt-60 radiotherapy machine in 1991, and carried out conventional radiotherapy for tumours by using gamma rays generated during isotope decay, and introduced Siemens Primus high-energy linear accelerator, Japan Toshiba spiral CT simulation and positioning system for radiotherapy, all-digital simulation and positioning machine, American CMS planning system, X-knife stereotactic treatment system and other advanced radiotherapy equipments. In 2004, the department introduced Siemens Primus high-energy linear accelerator, Japan's Toshiba radiotherapy spiral CT simulation and positioning system, all-digital simulation and positioning machine, as well as the U.S. CMS planning system, X-knife stereotactic treatment system and other advanced radiotherapy equipment, the first to carry out the three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy in the northwestern part of the country, the X-knife stereotactic radiation therapy and other characteristics of a number of therapeutic projects. In 2017, the department purchased a new Swedish MediShock Precise linear accelerator, GE large-aperture CTSIM, Xinhua IP-type flat-panel simulation positioning machine, which can carry out intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) and general radiotherapy, and the introduction of the IGPS-O image-guided radiotherapy system for real-time monitoring and control, to reduce the error, improve and enhance the patient's efficacy. The use of new equipment makes the radiotherapy of tumours in our department reach the national mainstream treatment level, and at the same time, individualized comprehensive treatment plans can be made according to the individual conditions of patients. The department advocates ‘affectionate’ nursing service, providing patients with high quality care with respect and love.
