Introduction to the Emergency Department (Headquarters)


  The Emergency Department of Liaocheng City Second People's Hospital is the first scene of rescue treatment for all kinds of patients with acute and critical illnesses after they come to the hospital, which is an important part of the green channel of emergency treatment, and a window unit of the hospital's civilised, high-quality and high-efficiency services. Emergency Department has skilled, high-quality, high-level medical service team, 24 hours a day, on call, standby, responsible for a variety of accidents, group emergencies and other emergency relief tasks. It is the first choice of emergency and critical care in northwestern Shandong Province and south-eastern Hebei Province, and was awarded as ‘Key Discipline of Liaocheng City’ in 2013.



  The Department of Emergency Medicine consists of Emergency Medicine and Emergency Surgery, with emergency triage, emergency rescue room, gastric lavage room, trauma room, rabies exposure treatment clinic, emergency observation room, emergency ward, etc. It has a skilled, high-quality and high-level medical service team. There are 18 physicians, including 1 chief physician, 2 deputy chief physicians, 7 attending physicians, 8 residents, including 1 doctoral degree, 1 master's degree; 31 nursing staff, 21 chief nurses, 9 nurse practitioners, 1 nurse.



  The Department of Emergency Medicine (Headquarters) is an important part of our national chest pain centre and Liaocheng City Trauma Centre, and has established a complete modern emergency medicine system to open the life emergency green channel for the rescue and treatment of acute myocardial infarction, acute heart failure, acute cerebrovascular disease, acute respiratory failure, acute craniocerebral trauma, severe trauma, traffic accident injuries, acute poisoning, and other serious life-threatening diseases. The hospital has issued relevant documents and policies to guarantee the smoothness of the green channel, and such patients are first rescued and paid later, accompanied by medical nurses throughout the whole process, and given priority for admission and surgery.   Liaocheng City Second People's Hospital Rabies Exposure Disposal Clinic is Liaocheng City, the first set up in the third-class A-class hospitals within the 24-hour animal injury disposal clinic and vaccination clinic, the Department of Emergency Surgery as a basis, in accordance with national norms, the layout of independent clinic, set up the waiting (consultation) area, the wound disposal room (special wound flushing machine), the immunisation room, the observation area, the emergency debridement room, inpatient wards, Critical Care Observation Room, forming an integrated treatment model, standardising wound irrigation, surgical debridement, tissue repair, infection control and other dispositions of animal-caused injuries, which allows patients who have been scratched or bitten by animals to receive timely, safe and efficient treatment.



  At present, the Department of Emergency Medicine is responsible for teaching emergency medicine to 5-year undergraduates of Shandong First Medical University. The department is the ‘China Taishan Disaster Medicine and Emergency Rescue Alliance Unit’, ‘China Municipal Hospital Emergency Specialist Medical Union Council Unit’, ‘National Emergency Mobile Treatment Centre for Poisoning Emergencies (Shandong) Poisoning It has established long-term cooperative relationship with the Institute of Toxicology of 307 Hospital, the Department of Emergency Medicine of Qilu Hospital and the Department of Emergency Medicine of Qianfoshan Hospital, and it is the cooperation unit of the national scientific research project ‘China's Chest Pain Clinical Research and Science and Technology Benefiting the People Plan Project’ initiated and undertaken by Prof. Chen Yuguo of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, and it works with the Department of Cardiology in the research unit. The Department of Cardiology and the Department of Cardiology jointly participated in the ‘China Acute Myocardial Infarction Rescue and Treatment Project’ initiated and undertaken by Professor Huo Yong of Peking University. We have undertaken the task of supporting Linqing City Hospital, Gaotang County Hospital, Jinhaozhuang Sanitary Hospital, Panzhuang Sanitary Hospital, etc., which has expanded the influence of the Department of Emergency Medicine in the surrounding areas.

Introduction to Emergency Department (Huamei Hospital District)



 The Emergency Department of Huamei Hospital District is on the west side of the ground floor of the Medical Technology Building, with a total floor area of 2,500 square metres, designed in accordance with the management concepts of modern emergency medicine and divided into medical and living areas, with the medical area divided into the emergency clinic, resuscitation room, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation room, wound-cleaning room, gastric lavage room, observation room, emergency guardianship room, and emergency ward, etc. The Emergency Department is located on the west side of the ground floor of the Medical Technology Building.



 The Emergency Resuscitation Room and Guardianship Room are equipped with imported tower of American General Lighting, CPR machine, imported ventilator, ECG monitor, ECG defibrillator, electronic visual laryngoscope, etc. The Gastric Shower Room is equipped with 2 beds with automatic gastric lavage machine, and at the same time, there is a shower room, which can be used to wash the skin of the poisoned patients. The Emergency Care Unit is designed according to the modern concept of critical care medicine, divided into 2 areas and 3 channels, with 7 beds, all equipped with imported tower, Hill-Room electric turnover beds, and equipped with imported respiratory, blood purification, life monitor, subcooling therapeutic instrument, blood gas analyser, and other medical resuscitation equipment.



 The Emergency Department of Huamei Hospital District is equipped with specialist emergency departments of internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics and neurology. Among the treatment staff of the department, there is 1 person with a senior title, 2 persons with deputy senior titles, 5 persons with intermediate titles, 8 residents, and 4 physicians with master's degrees. Since its opening, the treatment staff of the department has accumulated rich clinical experience in the rescue and treatment of various kinds of acute and critical illnesses, especially in various kinds of acute poisoning, pyrexia, severe trauma, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, cardiovascular and cerebral vascular emergencies, acute and critical maternal rescue, organ support, blood purification, and the transfer of critically ill patients, etc., which has a unique advantage in the neighbouring areas, and the success rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation is significantly higher than the domestic average level. The success rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation is significantly higher than the average level in China, and the department provides a fast green channel for patients with acute and critical illnesses. The department also undertakes wound repair, hand and foot surgery work, in the difficult-to-heal wounds, severe hand and foot trauma, chest wall trauma cluster treatment in the region in a leading position.
