The Department of Hematology of Liaocheng City Second People's Hospital has a history of nearly 30 years since it was established in 1995. It is a key discipline in Liaocheng City, a unit of Shandong Province Haematology Disease Specialist Alliance, a member unit of CSCO Anti-Lymphoma Alliance, and a demonstration unit of Shandong Province Physician Association's special action for the prevention and treatment of multiple myeloma. There is one chief physician, four deputy chief physicians and three attending physicians. We mainly treat all kinds of haematological diseases: various anaemic diseases, such as aplastic anaemia, dystrophic anaemia, haemolytic anaemia, etc.; haemato-oncological diseases, such as acute and chronic leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, Wahlberg's megakaryopoietinaemia, etc.; various lymph node enlargement diseases, such as necrotizing lymphadenitis, haemophagocytic hyperplasia, etc.; haemorrhagic diseases, such as Hereditary/Acquired Haemophilia, Thrombocytopenic Purpura, Anaphylactic Purpura, etc.

The department has an independent haematology laboratory with 1 set of bone marrow image workstation and 2 sets of Olympus microscopes, which can independently perform bone marrow morphological examination and chemical staining examination. Relying on the molecular pathology laboratory and authoritative external examination institutions, the department has carried out bone marrow flow cytometry, blood tumour gene detection, chromosome karyotype, second generation sequencing, lymphocyte subpopulation detection, drug metabolism-related detection, immune function monitoring, hematopoietic system-related genetic disease detection, etc., and has realized the precise treatment of acute leukemia, myeloma and lymphoma.

The department has now built an independent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation chamber, and has a variety of equipment such as 100-level sterile beds and clean screens for the isolation and protection of patients with granulocyte deficiencies. The Department of Haematology, as an excellent haematology treatment team, will continue to forge ahead and strive for excellence, so as to better protect patients with haematological diseases.
