The Imaging Department of the Second People's Hospital of Liaocheng City has a total of 88 professional and technical personnel of all kinds: 53 diagnosticians, 22 technicians and 13 nursing staff. Among them, there are 6 chief physicians, 11 deputy chief physicians, 2 deputy chief technicians, 26 intermediate titles, 43 junior titles. According to the hospital's functional tasks and equipments, it is divided into 6 professional groups: Radiology Department of the Headquarters, CT Room of the Headquarters, MRI of the Headquarters, CT/MR Room of the Huamei Campus, Radiology Department of the Huamei Campus, and Imaging Triage.

In addition to carrying out various routine examinations, the Department of Medical Imaging also carries out the following more advanced diagnosis and treatment work: CT coronary imaging, CT coronary artery integral, low-dose early lung cancer screening, tumour ablation and intervention (lung cancer, liver cancer, thyroid tumour, etc.); CT, MR head and neck vascular joint imaging, lower limb three-segment enhancement angiography, cerebral white matter fibre bundle imaging, cerebral perfusion imaging, single-somatomorphism and multi-somatomorphism bopping imaging, whole spine scanning, whole spine scanning and whole spine scanning. imaging, whole spine scanning, whole body diffusion imaging, hysterosalpingography, simulated rectal defecography, molybdenum-rhodium double-target digital mammography, image-guided puncture biopsy, vascular and non-vascular interventions and many other advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, which not only meet the clinical needs, but also provide an important safeguard for the diagnosis of difficult diseases.
In January 2015, Director Xie Yaoshang of our hospital took the lead in carrying out ‘low-dose CT screening for early stage lung cancer’ on a large scale in China, and in June 2016, we pioneered the establishment of ‘Lung Nodule Clinic and Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Clinic’, which provides screening, diagnostic and treatment services for patients suffering from lung nodules and lung tumours, lung cancer patients with one-stop medical services of screening, diagnosis and treatment; meanwhile, it cooperates with many first-class lung cancer diagnostic and treatment institutions in China (Shanghai Chest Hospital, Shanghai Lung Hospital, Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Lung Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment Centre of Capital Medical University, Xuanwu Hospital of Beijing, Beijing Chest Hospital, and 301 Hospital of Chinese People's Liberation Army, etc.); it opens a remote consultation for lung nodules, organizes a well-known lung tumour expert outpatient clinics, invited domestic famous thoracic surgeons to assist in minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgery, etc., which has provided maximum convenience to patients, and the detection rate of early lung cancer is about 1.1%, which has achieved accurate diagnosis and saved the lives of countless patients.
Since July 2016, a number of training courses on low-dose CT screening for early lung cancer have been held for hospitals in China that want to carry out this project, admitting dozens of people from hospitals all over the country for further training and learning, which has been highly praised by the majority of colleagues.
Dr Ge Yinglin, Deputy Chief Physician, has been studying musculoskeletal imaging, and has performed well in a series of imaging reading and discussion salons for difficult cases, and has been highly praised by colleagues. 2021, on behalf of Liaocheng team, the team took part in the ‘Battle of Black and White’ medical imaging case competition organised by Radiology Committee of Shandong Provincial Physicians' Association in the west of Shandong Province and won the “Second Prize” of the team. ‘Second Prize’.
In recent years, the Department of Medical Imaging has written more than 15 monographs and published more than 260 papers, including 4 SCI papers. The department has completed dozens of projects of Liaocheng City Science and Technology Bureau and won more than 26 second and third prizes of Liaocheng City Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 first prizes of Taishan Medical College Excellent Achievement and more than 10 second and third prizes, and more than a hundred scientific and technological progress prizes at the hospital level. The first prize of ‘Excellent Achievement’ of Taishan Medical College has been awarded to 2 items. These works have filled the blanks of our hospital and our city, and we have obtained nearly 30 national patents. Through the scientific research projects and thesis writing, it has stimulated everyone's enthusiasm for learning and formed a strong learning atmosphere.
As the main diagnostic department and key teaching and research department of the hospital, we have provided reliable treatment basis for the clinic with accurate diagnosis, and cultivated countless talents in imaging discipline for the motherland with good teacher's morality, benefited the people on one side, and played a very important role in the Jili-Lu-Yu junction area.
