In order to further enhance the comprehensive quality of the hospital's middle-level cadres and business backbone, and help the hospital's high-quality development, on May 7, 2024, the hospital held a lecture on cadres' ability to improve and medical ethics and humanities, and invited Prof. Sun Hongjun, vice president of the Chinese Physicians Association and president of the Shandong Provincial Physicians Association, to give a special lecture. Secretary of the Party Committee of the hospital Liu Yuesen, President Xia Zhangyong, members of the leadership team of the hospital and the relevant departments and offices in charge attended the lecture, which was presided over by President Xia Zhangyong.

President Xia Zhangyong expressed his warm welcome to Prof. Sun Hongjun, pointing out that all the department heads, head nurses, and section chiefs are the backbone of the hospital's cadre, shouldering the important mission and responsibility of leading the hospital and the department to move forward, and needing to continuously improve their comprehensive quality. This lecture will provide a valuable learning opportunity for everyone, so that the section chiefs can better fulfill their duties, apply the knowledge learned to practical work, and contribute to promoting the work of the hospital to a new level.

Prof. Sun Hongjun lectured on the topic of "How to be an Excellent Section Chief and Physician". Prof. Sun pointed out that as a department head, one should be politically qualified and always uphold the political belief of serving the people; two should have "five yeses", i.e., ideal pursuit and mission bearing, pattern and realm, sentiment and passion, perseverance, humanistic spirit, and culture; three should have professional competence, including solid professional Third, professional competence, including solid professional foundation, dexterous clinical skills, research-oriented thinking, etc.; fourth, management competence, proficiency in the management of healthcare organizations; fifth, good team building, team consciousness, setting good goals and directional choices; sixth, creating a good academic style; seventh, good management innovation.

Liu Yuesen, Secretary of Party Committee, expressed his gratitude to Prof. Sun Hongjun for his wonderful lecture, pointing out that the lecture not only deciphered the profound connotation of how to be an excellent department head, but also provided a new way of thinking and methodology for hospital management. It is hoped that the spirit advocated by Prof. Sun Hongjun will be used as a guideline in the future work, and efforts will be made to improve the overall quality of the whole hospital staff.

After the lecture, the hospital carried out the third training course on scientific research capacity improvement. The meeting invited Prof. Jia Xiaodong, Deputy Director of Key Laboratory of Translational Medicine Research of Liaocheng City People's Hospital, to give a lecture, which was presided over by Yue Zongzhu, Director of Scientific Research Management Department.

Prof. Xiaodong Jia gave a special lecture titled "Progress of Scientific Research and Translational Application Based on High-Throughput Gene Sequencing Technology". The lecture has a clear theme and vivid image, which is of strong guiding significance for improving the translational medicine research capacity of our hospital.

The hospital will take this training as an opportunity to further strengthen the executive ability, management ability and business ability of cadres and workers, closely around the overall situation of the hospital's development, and lead the whole hospital staff to promote the work of the hospital to a new level, and make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of the hospital.
