      The Department of Neurology of Liaocheng City Second People's Hospital was established in 1992, and for more than 30 years, it has been adhering to the tenet of “Patient-centered and Clinical Fundamental” for construction and development, and making every effort to build a high-level professional discipline. Through the inheritance and efforts of several generations, the scale of the department has gradually developed and grown, and it has made great progress in clinical, teaching, scientific research, talent cultivation, academic team building, etc., and created a team of doctors and nurses who are excellent in virtue and skill, and who are renowned doctors. The Department of Neurology of the hospital is a national advanced stroke center, one of the first national centers of excellence in neuro-intervention, one of the first bases of the Ministry of Health for screening and prevention of stroke, a sub-center unit of the “13th Five-Year Plan” project of the National Health and Planning Commission, a national center for diagnosis and treatment of advanced cognitive disorders (a construction unit), a sub-center of the Shandong province's combined Chinese and Western medicine special project for early prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease, a key discipline of medicine and health in Shandong province.
